IQ Glass - Specialist Glaziers
Architectural Glazing Specialists
Last month we held an open day at the newly renovated design centre, offering interior designers and specifiers the opportunity to see what the interior design showroom has to offer. There were a number of presentations and demonstrations throughout the day, as well as many opportunities to talk to our exhibitors about the products and systems on offer.
June 2022 was also the 40th birthday anniversary of Grants Blinds, who celebrated with a cake and guessing games for guests. This open day event was the perfect opportunity for Grants Blinds to showcase their new showroom within Sky House, which has been fitted with a number of bespoke glazing elements accompanied by minimal or completely concealed blind solutions. The new exhibitor space was busy throughout the day and the Grants team were on hand to demonstrate the gable end window with blackout blinds, which you can book an appointment to see for yourself.
Watermark Kitchens had live cooking demonstrations going on throughout the day, cooking on both kitchens within the bay to show how the integrated appliances work. One of the fully functional kitchens in the Watermark exhibitor bay is complete with a top of the range extractor fan that sits within the induction hob and draws any smoke and steam in and down the vent. This ‘invisible’ solution provided the ventilation throughout the day of cooking, masking the smell of steak, vegetables and halloumi to allow guests to enjoy the atmosphere. Watermark Kitchens also provided a champagne tasting event, where three vintages were offered to guests to accompany the food and test their tastebuds.
Throughout the day IndigoZest ran live demonstrations from their two exhibitor bays, demonstrating how the smart home cinema works and a range of other technical integrations within their stand. Visitors enjoyed seeing the hidden technology appear from the bay at the touch of a button, as well as the unrivalled sound and picture quality in the contemporary cinema room.
During the afternoon IQ Glass hosted a CPD seminar in the auditorium, on the construction of the floating glass box which guests then viewed in the showroom. A second CPD by Grants Blinds followed the IQ Glass presentation, discussing how to specify bespoke blind solutions for minimally framed glazing. IQ Glass and Grants Blinds have worked on many projects together and these presentations highlighted how the interior design showroom can be used as a one stop shop for any home essentials.
Another interactive part of the design centre is the Morgan Ellis Lifts bay, which is home to three fully operational home lift systems for you to experience before specifying. The team at Morgan Ellis were on hand throughout the day to offer guidance and advice on luxury lift solutions, demonstrating the sound and smooth oepration of each lift system at multiple points during the event.
With a number of repeat visits booked as a result of the open day, all exhibitors were happy with how the event went. We are looking forward to the next event, keep your eye on our social media channels for the latest news and updates about our next event or contact the team today to book a showroom visit.
