The Sky House Design Centre were featured in the Designs for Life Winter 2016/17 Magazine. We wrote an article focusing on redesigning interior spaces and how to start designing your interior spaces by creating mood boards and all of the benefits that come with visiting a ‘one-stop-shop’. Urban Fires were featured in the December/January Issue of Vale Life. This article was titled ‘Hot Stuff’ and was focused on Urban Fires at the Sky House Design Centre with background information on how the company first came about as well as information on a range of their products. Urban Front and Shou Sugi Ban were featured in the December issue of Grand Designs. Urban Front was featured twice within the magazine, the first feature included a two-page spread about Cheeran House in Berkshire titled, “Creative Enclosure”. The feature focuses on how the design of the home came about and all of the benefits it provides. Urban Front designed and installed the Porto E80 pivot door which has been oiled in Iroko and framed with dark grey and stone.

The second feature is part of the “Get the Look” which included the front door designed for the Cheeran House project. The Urban Front Porto E80 pivot front door in Iroko is £8,100 and was titled under ‘Smart Opening’.

Shou Sugi Ban was featured in one of the “Style Finder” sections with a project where black-stained Norwegian spruce had been used to blend the home in with the nearby woodland. Shou Sugi Ban was featured as they are able to supply a permanent solution with cedar cladding charred with the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban method.
