10th Anniversary Showroom Event

IQ’s flagship showroom in Amersham is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary in style on Thursday 15th February from 1pm. This highly anticipated event will see all members of Sky House participating in the celebrations with the launch of Avino’s new Atelier timber showroom, active showroom demonstrations & product tours, professional chef, entertainment plus more!

The latest brand to form part of Sky House under the IQ Glass Group is Avino, timber in architecture. Avino’s extensive range of timber products include timber cladding, shading louvres, and timber framed windows and doors for both internal and external applications. The new Atelier showroom will be a beautiful focal point of the showroom working in harmony alongside the frameless minimal IQ Glass products.  

Compelling Keynote Talks – Building for longevity  

We are delighted to have the privilege of hosting exclusive keynote talks from industry-leading professionals including Melanie Clear, Clear Architects, Fabian Hecker, ZHA & Professor Derek Clements-Croome. 

Keynote by Melanie Clear

(Melanie has been a RIBA Judge for the regional 2016 Royal Institute of British Architects and is a media commentator for trade, regional and national media. Melanie is a columnist for the consumer magazine, Real Homes.) Melanie will offer insights on building for sustainable longevity. 

Fabian Hecker, ZHA to deliver key note

Fabian Hecker, Zaha Hadid Architects, (Fabian joined ZHA in 2002 and has since worked on projects including offices, hospitality, cultural buildings, retail interiors, mixed-use developments, and urban master plans predominantly in Europe and the Middle East.) Fabian will share the case study of Forest green Rovers football stadium, made almost entirely of timber. 

Professor Emeritus, Derek Clements-Croome

Derek Clements-Croome - Professor Emeritus (Architectural engineering at Reading University and expert in intelligent buildings and cities for health and wellbeing. Derek will be delivering thought leadership in a powerful approach to using multisensory design in the built environment.) 

This architect event kicks off at 1pm with the first keynote delivered by Melanie Clear, followed by Fabian Hecker, concluding with Derek Clements-Croome's.
