Top 4 Influential Design Projects of 2019

It’s been a great year!

The Sky House Design Centre has had a fabulous year which include some of the most influential projects in the design and architectural industry.  Many of our exhibitors have collaborated on projects which is why we take pride in our no competition rule amongst exhibitors that we execute here. See below a few of our favourite projects of 2019.

1 Southwick Yard


1 Southwick Yard is a secluded new build flat in Paddington located in between five and six storey buildings. This property was designed by Belsize Architects who used four of our exhibitors to complete their project, Contrasol Ltd, IQ® Glass, Exterior Solutions and minimal windows®.  The aim was to maximise the potential of an awkwardly positioned mews, by encouraging light to flow through this unilluminated property and create an open plan layout. Claremont Gardens


This spacious family home in Marlow needed an upgrade, the family sought the help of three of our exhibitors, Watermark Kitchens, Decorum.London and Exterior Solutions.  All exhibitors are experts in their field and used their knowledge to work together to create a kitchen full of character which they achieved.  This project was featured on the front of “Essential Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom” magazine and occupied a full 2 page spread! The Glass Lit House


IndigoZest and Watermark Kitchens both used their expertise to work on this beautiful three storey home located in Hertford.  IndigoZest installed a control system which allowed the homeowners complete automation throughout the house from their phones. Watermark were tasked to design and install a minimal yet stylish kitchen perfect for a busy couple who love to cook. Read More

Black Ridge House


The Black Ridge House is an award-winning charred timber clad extension of a three-bedroom Victorian family home designed by Neil Dusheiko Architects. Black Ridge House was shortlisted for three awards and won the “NHIC Award for Best Use of Aluminium Systems”.  This extension was constructed using Shou Sugi Ban® Burnt Timber Cladding which is exclusive to Exterior Solutions.
