‘The Glass Lit House’ is a 3-storey home located between views of both the surrounding woodland and picturesque views of the town.
The main design theme of this project is light and texture which was achieved by using metal, wood, brick and glass. IndigoZest (a smart home automation specialist and systems integrator) and Watermark Kitchens, of which are both exhibitors of The Sky House Design Centre, worked their magic on this project.
IndigoZest installed a control solution system which allowed complete automation throughout the house including; door entry & security, audiovisual, lighting control shading and climate control.
The client already had a security solution in place which IndigoZest was able to access and improve upon. With the entry into the property being via a lift, it was imperative that a secure door system was put in place for the homeowner’s security.
IndigoZest upgraded the system and added viewing and communicating features with visitors which can be accessed from a phone and installed an automated, keyless solution to lock/unlock the patio doors at the set time of the day.
The installation of a PURE theatre projector lift & 97” JVC motorised screen was the best option for this home as floor to ceiling windows filled the rear elevation and with the projector screen being able to retract discreetly without disturbing the highly valued views.
Watermark designed, supplied and installed the contemporary kitchen to perfection, using warm tones to fit in with the mood of the house. They installed a 20mm Dekton worktop and a bespoke bronze tinted mirror for the splashback which complement each other greatly.
The sleek cabinetry is a German handless kitchen finished in a taupe satin lacquer and bespoke metallic copper, with a stainless steel handle rail.
