Create drama with double height space

2 September 2023

Properties with double-height spaces are an opportunity for architects and interior designers to create a visual impact and a sense of drama

Architects can deliver an instant 'wow-factor' using double-height glass in order to create stunning light filled atriums

Double-height glass is used to enhance the sense of space and draw in maximum natural light into a dwelling.  With today's innovative high performance structural glazing, it is possible for architects to deliver on their ambitious designs and create glass facades that comply with Building Regulations Part L whilst delivering drama with maximum visual impact.

In many ways it is the perception of space rather than a measurement that defines how a home feels.
The effect of height, especially double-height space, is often underestimated in interior design. This is why the best interiors in top-end contemporary homes now feature the soaring drama of entrance halls or living rooms with ceilings that top 30 ft.

Check out some projects that really deliver the architectural wow factor.
