Beach houses with contemporary designs

Amazing Spaces with George Clarke last week showcased a collaborative beach house project on Camber Sands.

The two new build beach houses were contemporary designs, with a mixture of building materials including timber and glass.

The bespoke timber doors to the modern beach houses were bespoke timber designs with steel reinforced hinged door configuration.

The door is characterised by the vertical grooves within the timber and its simple, minimalist look in keeping with the architectural design of the building. The door designs  feature steel reinforced cores, a high level of security as well as high levels of insulation, with a U value of 1.1W/m 2 K per door.

IQ Glass provided all architectural glazing to both beach huts, including the featuring walls of glazing that face the sea. These large elevations of glazing were created by mixing their minimal windows, slim framed sliding glass doors with frameless structural glazing, for an unobtrusive barrier between the internal living spaces and the beach.

The Kebony cladding used can be sourced from Exterior Solutions, also based here at Sky House Design Centre

The Camber Sands project was visited as part of George Clarke’s project to create his own beach house, and was featured for the impressive contemporary design to both beach houses.

The modern design of the exterior as well as the light and bright interiors were key factors in making these modern beach huts comfortable and attractive.
