Design Centre Reopening 12th April

26 March 2021

The design centre will be reopening, in line with government guidelines, on the 12th April. We are delighted to once again be opening our doors and conducting showroom visits. Although our doors have been closed to the public, we have been incredibly busy working on showroom updates and continuing the renovation project at Sky House. Our installation and construction works continued throughout the latest lockdown and we now have a number of new systems available to view and experience at the showroom.

panoramah! slim framed sliding glass doors in an opening corner configuration

The courtyard now features panoramah! sliding door systems, granting access to the standalone glass box structure. The doors have extremely minimal sightlines from just 19mm and are on display in an opening corner configuration. The base detail of this sliding system is what makes the oversized panes slide with ease, accommodating large or heavy panes, perfect for achieving an oversized glazing look. Other glazing updates include a M.A.R.S (modern automated rooflight system), offering the opportunity to push architectural boundaries with little to no limitations on size. Inside the showroom, a large internal glass pivot door is now on display, giving visitors the chance to experience the bespoke opening system in action.

In the furniture showroom upstairs, a new ADL sliding internal door has been installed to showcase the luxury system in a bedroom setting. The bronze coloured door is biparting, illustrating the versatile nature of the sleek systems from ADL. A number of the exhibitor bays have been under construction, with exciting updates from IndigoZest, Watermark Kitchens and Urban Outdoors. IndigoZest have expanded their bay to include an immersive entertainment experience, complete with a dedicated room designed to demonstrate the latest in Dolby certified sound and stunning 4K resolution. When booking your showroom visit, you can let IndigoZest know which film you would like to experience and they will provide an exclusive viewing for you.

Watermark Kitchens have completely renovated their bay and whilst the space is still under construction, the new kitchens will be fitted in May. With sleek handless cabinetry and modern shaker style kitchens, the bay will be the epitome of luxury kitchen design. Fire solution experts Urban Outdoors have undergone a transformation to expand the range of indoor and outdoor fire solutions on display at the showroom. Some of the new additions include: Photon firepits (made from porcelain or lightweight stainless steel frames), a signature frameless outdoor gas fireplace, the new high definition ceramic logs and unique hybrid gas/LED burner within a balanced flue indoor fireplace and a woodburning fireplace which has been specifically engineered for cooking. Each of the systems is fully operational at the showroom, granting visitors a first-hand experience before specifying the products.

Outdoor BBQ grill with built in log storage

Situated next to the Urban Outdoor bay is the Cubic Outdoor Kitchens display, where you will find a range of outdoor kitchen solutions. There is a Cubic Outdoor Pantry, to provide weathertight storage in garden spaces, as well as a Delvita pizza oven and an outdoor BBQ range to complete your outdoor living space. All of these updates and more can be found at Sky House, where visits to the design centre will be strictly by appointment only. The award winning, one stop shop for residential and commercial design is an experience not to be missed, with many architects and interior designers crediting the experience as invaluable.
