6 April 2017

What Colours Should you be Incorporating into your Interior Design?

At the end of 2016, Pantone released the top ten colours for spring 2017, to coincide with various fashion weeks around the world. This year’s colours feature muted, earthy tones, including Kale and Hazelnut, with pops of primary colours like Lapis Blue and Primrose Yellow.

Pantone’s colour of the year is ‘Greenery’. Pantone has described this colour as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”

The other colour predictions for 2017 are:

  • Kale
  • Hazelnut
  • Pink Yarrow
  • Greenery
  • Pale Dogwood
  • Island Paradise
  • Flame
  • Lapis Blue
  • Primrose Yellow
  • Niagara

Each of these colours is ideal for the home in Spring time as they bring the nature and the outdoors into your home with the green of the grass, the blue of the sky and the other colours that are often seen in the blossomed flowers. These colours can be integrated into your interior design by using them as your wall colour or as an item of furniture within your living spaces.
