Battersea Development

1 October 2016

One of the Sky House Design Centre exhibitors, Hedgehog Aluminium Systems have recently worked on the world-renowned Frank Gehry Battersea Development apartment project in London. These apartments are the first residential project Gehry has completed in the UK.

Frank Gehry designed homes, a commercial space and a children’s play area for Prospect Place, which has all become a part of the new High Street at the Battersea Power Station. Visitors are now able to enjoy a sneak peek of the unique internal living spaces that are said to be ‘crafted by awe-inspiring curved façades’.

Hedgehog Aluminium Systems installed their very own Sieger slim casement windows in the redevelopment project. All of the windows installed have thermally broken aluminium frames, giving the luxury apartments an impressive amount of thermal insulation.

These windows were installed on ‘The Pavilion’ show home and were powder coated white to help contrast with the copper exterior and black framed windows and doors on the ground floor. Natural light is maximised in these apartments and panoramic views of London are provided due to the glass façades projected forms. battersea Development
