Amersham best place to live in the South East

The Sunday Times best places to live 2021 has been released.

The Sunday Times take many things into consideration when they compile their best places to live lists, including air quality, transport links, culture, green spaces and the health of the high street. Amersham was voted one of the best places to live in the South East, recognised for its historic old town.

As well as a historic background, Amersham has great transport links, with a choice of tube or overground train lines taking you directly to central London in less than an hour. An ideal town for commuters due to its transport links, an annual season ticket from Amersham is almost £500 cheaper than its neighbouring towns.

The judges look for locations with a community spirit, now more than ever in the wake of a global pandemic. Recently, the local community in Amersham posted cheques through the door of a café that was struggling after being forced to close during lockdown.
