Contemporary kitchen featuring rear brick slip wall and rose gold furnishings

Claremont Gardens

This bespoke designed kitchen was based around the client’s desire to have a contemporary, practical room with modern, playful features. The use of a brick slip wall transforms the room entirely, installed perfectly to create the illusion of original brickwork.

Whilst the main cabinet colour is light grey, the dusky pink ties together the homeowners choice of metals. The silver metal fridge and plug sockets work in contrast with the rose gold bar stools and accents.

Watermark worked closely with the client here to ensure the kitchen, although the main feature downstairs, seamlessly blended with the choice of décor throughout the rest of the floor.

Contemporary kitchen in a pale white palette with Farrow & Ball blue accent colours

Folly Fields

This Layon Shaker Style kitchen is primarily white with a carefully selected Farrow & Ball blue colour for the accent.

The homeowners wanted a separate bar area and wanted this to exist alongside the breakfast bar without sacrificing the open-plan layout. In order to separate the areas, Watermark designed the bar primarily in the blue colour.

In contrast, the kitchen counters and island were primarily white, using Silestone White Arabesque countertops. The bar area featured solid oak worktops, an impressive contrast to the minimalist white design. The solid oak texture is carried through the ground floor by doors and shelves.

Here the island acts as a middle ground, tying together all the textures and colours used to create an airy, flowing space with distinct areas.

Monochrome kitchen design with open plan lounge area

Clifden Road

This minimalist kitchen followed a monochrome design, with the kitchen and lounge area being completely open plan it was important to seamlessly blend the two areas.

The design followed a handleless style, with bespoke pocket door solutions built in to suit the client’s storage requirements. The sink and draining board were built into the Corian worktops to create an almost invisible aesthetic.

Although the design is incredibly minimalistic, this kitchen is purpose-built for functionality. The draining board, although blending into the island worktop, has a slight slope to allow for water drainage. Plug sockets are built into the kitchen island on the inward-facing side to present a seamless finish from the living area.

Statement kitchen island counter

Chesterton Lewknor

A traditional shaker style kitchen with sleek elements and a bold colour choice. Watermark designed and installed this contemporary kitchen space to include a statement kitchen island, dark in colour.

The dark colour choice compliments the white and grey surroundings, bringing some colour into an otherwise cold space. As well as aesthetic the island brings huge amounts of additional storage space, catering to the homeowners needs.

The island features a built-in wine cooler, subtle in its appearance to match the other built in appliances such as the hob and microwave/combination ovens.
