The specialist glazing show space within the Sky House Design Centre showcases some of the latest innovations in glazing development and design, helping to create bright, functional living spaces with the introduction of specialist glazing.

Within Sky House, IQ Glass operates the UK’s largest architectural and structural glazing showroom, widely regarded as one of the UK’s largest double glazing showrooms for specialist glass façades, slim framed doors and structural glazing. Visiting the IQ Glass glazing showroom allows architects, designers and homeowners to see full-size examples of these systems before committing to a specification.

The clever inside–outside space currently houses one of the largest external pivoting glass doors available for residential design projects.

The large pivot door stands at 3 m high by 1.8 m wide in a double glazed door with slim, thermally broken aluminium framing. These large pivot doors can be designed with a maximum height of 3.7 m and a maximum width of 2.4 m for a truly impressive appearance. Find out more about the IQ Glass showroom here.

Floor and head finishes are flush and the door also has an integrated external drainage channel, maintaining the flush floor finishes and integrated euro-cylinder locking, all within the slim aluminium framing.

Also on show is a specialist heated glass solution that can be used to heat your space through the windows. These transparent glass panels contain a unique coating within the glass unit; when an electrical charge is passed through the glass it generates radiant heat, which then heats the room.

This heated glass technology has been featured on design programmes such as Grand Designs and is a practical way to heat largely glazed areas in a minimal, efficient way.
